Our Growth Mindset (The Mission):
Think back on your time in school and a project or experience that got you fired up, curious, and motivated to try your best.  Can you remember one? If you’re like us, there are some projects we remember decades later -- those times when we were so engaged in what we were doing that we couldn’t help but learn.
Seesaw is a learning platform that brings educators, students and families together to deepen student learning. Teachers design and facilitate powerful learning experiences, students create, reflect, collaborate and make their learning visible, and families actively support and celebrate student learning. Seesaw is used by millions of K-12 students in over half the schools in the U.S and 100+ countries worldwide.

The Curriculum (Your Role):
Seesaw is looking for an experienced Director of Demand Generation to drive global growth for our paid product for schools and districts. You’ve owned a broad range of demand gen strategies at high-growth startups, and are ready to build out and lead a world-class demand gen team to support our rapidly scaling business and mission.

Your Classmates (The Team):
You’ll lead a strong, growing team of marketers - and have plenty of room to build out the organization from there. This role reports to the Head of Revenue, and will also work closely with leadership across sales, community, customer experience, and product.

Subject Matter (Your Responsibilities):

  • Own global demand gen strategy and pipeline targets to help Seesaw achieve aggressive revenue goals.
  • Drive pipeline for our paid product (Seesaw for Schools). Among other things, you’ll be able to leverage thousands of happy paying customers in 100+ countries, a highly active official ambassador community, and a deep bench of content and testimonials.
  • Improve inbound lead flow and conversion. We get a high volume of inbound leads every week, largely from freemium product-led conversion and word of mouth. Take this strong foundation, and make it better.
  • Drive alignment across the leadership team on your strategy and vision, by setting and communicating clear goals, plans, and budgets.
  • Build out our marketing planning, attribution, and measurement capabilities to generate a predictable pipeline.
  • Support the sales team with enablement materials to better educate prospects and accelerate active opportunities (collateral, positioning, content).
  • Provide marketing support to our customer experience organization, with an emphasis on key marketing touchpoints throughout the customer journey.
  • Build the organization you need to succeed!

Prerequisites (The Requirements):

  • 7+ years relevant experience.
  • Creativity in strategy, tolerance for ambiguity and change, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong leader and manager with evidence of building diverse, high performance teams.
  • You’ve been a key player at one or more high-growth companies, and have managed B2B demand generations teams.
  • Proven track record owning pipeline or revenue targets for companies with tens of millions in annual recurring revenue.
  • Broad demand generation experience in terms of both strategies (e.g. ABM, freemium/product-led growth), and ACV (ideally, not limited to “only” enterprise or SMB).
A little about us:

We are well funded and have an experienced team. Work with the creators & leads of Google Calendar, Picasa, Maps, Facebook Platform, and Twitter.
We care about building a diverse and inclusive team to better advocate for the needs of our incredibly diverse K-12 users.
We prioritize work-life balance and actually walk the walk -- we care a lot about our work, but care more about our friends and family.  We encourage everyone to work at a sustainable pace and have an unlimited vacation policy that people actually use.
We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits including full medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, flexible vacation policy, free lunch, wellness stipend, and charitable donation match.

Don't let the confidence gap get in the way of applying! We'd love to hear from you.
